THE ULTIMATE LIFE

Traditionally, the scripture below has been used to teach that Jesus came and died for our sins so that we wouldn’t perish. As true as this is, this verse is saying that the real purpose of Jesus coming to this earth and dying for us was so that we could have everlasting life. It just so happened that our sins were a barrier that stood between us and this everlasting life. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”   John 3:16 Jesus Himself defined Eternal life;   “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3). So, eternal life is just what Jesus said – to know God and Jesus Christ. It’s more than an intellectual knowledge. THERE IS WAR YOU MUST WIN

The first thing you must understand is that, you are engaged in a spiritual warfare. If you do not know this, you have no right to victory. There is need for a battle, fight or competition before there can be a winner or a loser. A winner does not emerge from a no-duel situation. This is important for your victory. It will be ridiculous for you to claim to be victorious over nobody. It means, when you talk of being a winner or victor, that you are talking of a battle that is being fought. There are many indications of this in the Bible. It is sad to see many believers live and walk without a sense of war. They are at "ease" and that is why they are constantly down. If an enemy is fighting you, and you do not seem to know it, you make his victory certain and easy. But the Bible has given a clear understanding that the christian life is a life of constant war. GIVE YOUR BEST WHEREVER GOD PUTS YOU

Have you ever felt insignificant, overlooked, and underappreciated? I have too. The day Elijah brought fire down upon the sacrifice on Mount Carmel, Elisha was at work in his father’s fields. He didn’t see it, but he heard about it. Everyone did. It was a great day for Israel, a great day for God, and a great day for Elijah. One day after it happened, Elisha was out plowing in the field and Elijah came and placed his mantle around his shoulders. He couldn’t believe it, When Elijah chose     him to succeed him as prophet, He knew the he was exchanging his old life for a new one. The life of a farmer for the life of God’s servant. He expected to do great things even that very day! But He didn’t. Instead, for the next ten years he followed Elijah around and worked as a common servant. He felt insignificant.
